Like always, fabulous work!!! Keep it up!
One questions, not regarding the grasshopper, but the actual surface. How do you make surfaces like that in Rhino? Are they lofts of section curves? Scripted? or a plane with a Cage Edit?
Thanks!

Hi Leo, thx! I created this surface in a very simple way, it's a plane deformed with cage edit command in Rhino.

Best,

D

This is really nice!! I have learned a lot from the scripts from co-de-it. Thanks for posting. Is there a way to control where the U-Strip is subdivided by an attractor or image sampler. Any help would be greatly appreciated? Thanks

Hi,buddy,i got a question, how do you choose the random surfaces(little pieces with diferent material)??

DAVIDE DEL GIUDICE said...

@Matt: Why not? We could work togheter on this definition :)

@unknow: the definition splits the surface in random pieces, you can choose the number of strips in U and V direction.

David,

Sounds great. I'm working out it now.

Have any idea of how to select surfaces that share adajacent edges.

My first thought was to create a pattern based on distance from attractor (effect/aesthetics). Then from that list cull faces with a certain area reacting to solar constraints and then to cull if they share a common edge. I can get to everything except the common edge.
Any suggestions.

My second thought was to go towards a more packing approach that would react to attractors but I'm not familiar with packing as I would like.

Thanks in advance,
Matt
